Road Trippin'

in

Well, well, here we are back on the road again. I wanted to write this 6 days ago but I just got caught up in this crazy never-ending roller coster.
I gotta tell you though, it's so good to be back playing live. We started the tour in Edmonton 6 days ago. As soon as we were out of the plane we got right into a van and got straight to the festival site and haven't stopped since.

Our first destination was the Boonstock Festival not too far from Edmonton. We were sharing the stage with Three Days Grace and Default. They're good friends, so it was nice to chat and then rock the place together. A few minutes before we got on stage, it started raining, the sky looked pretty bad but the crowd was just on fire. We got on stage and started things off with Daylight Breaks, then Montreal Calling, How Can I Be Saved, The Killer, No Tomorrow... I really missed playing live.

The next day we were off to Saskatoon... so early morning wake up call, in the van and then we were back to business again. We haven't been back to Saskatoon since we won our Juno... good memories for sure.

After "The Toon" we were going to Swift Current which, I gotta say, I've never heard of before. They don't get to see a lot of rock concerts - the people were really receptive and really enjoyed the show. We had a blast that night and that was probably one of the best shows we played in a while. One of the highlights of the night was when we played Slow Motion Car Crash, the place went ballistic and we totally fed off from the energy of the crowd.

Next destination was Calgary, and as some of you might know when you hit this town during the Stampede... it's completely crazy. We played there a few times but never during the Stampede and I gotta say that it was one of the best parties we've ever been to. The venue was called Cowboys and the nights was just one of those that you wish would never end. Though, unfortunately because it ended rather late, we all felt a little bit hungover. But... I mean... how many times do you get to party with cowboys? Pierre and Dom even looked the part wearing Cowboy hats during the set! Pictures coming soon.

Last night we were in Medicine Hat. It was our fifth show in a row so we all felt a bit tired, but... we got on stage and we rocked the place! Tonight we played Red Dear and again had a blast playing in a city we've never been before. The response was really good and it seems like everybody is enjoying the new material which is awesome.

I am in the hotel room right now and it's 4 in the morning. I can barely keep my eyes open but no complaints, the last 6 days have been just great.

We have a break tomorrow and the day after which is well deserved and then its the Grand Prairie on the 13th.

I so need to sleep right now, but I just wanna thank everyone who came the the shows - your support is alway much appreciated, and don't you worry we'll see you again very soon. And also a big thanks to Default, we spent the whole tour opening for them - and they are an amazing bunch of guys.

Alright, bed time now. Cheers!

West Coast Canadian Tour and yet you guys didn't stop in Vancouver or Victoria? I would have liked to have seen you come here! I don't think it can be called "West Coast" without a trip through BC.

I'd have to say I only really paid for the tickets to see you guys and the show you gave was great. Even though I'm moving away from Medicine Hat, I just wanted to say that I was really, really pleased you guys came to play there. I hope you consider playing there again and show the Hat was awesome music really is.
